dxgi-presentation-model=flip-discard fixed it (not perfect but significantly improved) here as well. Running Windows 10, with windowed g-sync enabled if that matters. I'm not sure where this issue crept back in, but I believe it was more recently. ...but this should not be required to prevent micro...

Some microstuttering going on, it used to be smooth as butter.

Can't be the hardware either, VSync on/off no difference.

Ok, it's now fixed for 0.17.8 which I'll see if we can send out early tomorrow.

In the meantime you'll need to roll back to 0.17.6 with your modded servers.
Nitrado servers cannot roll back.

I really enjoy Steam Controller. I think it works really well with a lot of games that you would never expect to play via controller (like Crusader Kings 2, Pillars of Eternity, Invisible Inc.). As someone with a steam controller this might be useful. I've heard of successes with custom configurations already, but didn't know there was more a game could do to support the advanced features (aside from haptics, anyway). Actually...I take that back. It's more that the game integrating context...
