Re: Why i will never play 0.17

Pick axe removal is good.

Now just put manual crafting speed and manual mining speed upgrades into the research tech-tree, so that the speed can be increased through the main game loop progression (science) and it's perfectly conclusive.

(Unless it's already in there, haven't checked).

Re: Is there a way to start crafting from pipette?

Without an item in the inventory, it just makes that buzzing sound and nothing happens.

Is there a way to start crafting from pipette?

So I know you can pick up something you have in your inventory by pressing Q on the same object in the world.
Is there also a way to do this, but instead of getting it from the inventory, you automatically start crafting?

Thanks

Stone ground looks very ugly on furthest zoom out

I noticed that the game now looks awesome when close, but zooming all the way out some things don't really look good. But the stone in particular looks very bad, on the last 2 steps. Near max zoom out: https://cdn.pbrd.co/images/I1clnmh.png Fully zoomed out: https://cdn.pbrd.co/images/I1ckMGG.png It...

Re: Need some help with all the mods

Mk2 needs MK1 :)

So it seems that 5Dim and Bob's mod are not compatible with each other, right?

Re: Need some help with all the mods

Hey, thanks for the info. Might you also happen to know what I could have done to break this: https://pasteboard.co/HJVl07o.png I don't seem to have a "roboport antenna mk1" in my menue, though I have mk2. The rest of the components in mk1 tier are also shown correctly. Just antenna mk1 is...

Re: Need some help with all the mods

All right. I will continue and see what comes then :) Since this topic is done, I would like to deviate to another question I also have: I am struggling hard to deal with "icon only" information. When recipes are multi-output (like the whole ore content, or the refinery content) I only see...

Re: Need some help with all the mods

Thanks for the replies. Yes, I am not unfamiliar with wood being a possible ingredient. I just do not think it fits the theme of building a mega factory. After all, there is lasers, radars, tanks, super complicated chemical refineries etc. So it feels a bit like being stuck in the stone age. What I ...

SHIFT+Q to craft from object would be nice

Hey,

so Q to copy stuff is very awesome, as long as you have the thing you want to copy in your inventory.

Why not take it one step further with SHIFT+Q on an object starting the crafting process of that object?

Just a thought.

Need some help with all the mods

Hi, I have installed all the angels and bob's mods, and I like it so far. However, I just cannot get into liking that you make electronics out of wood. Maybe it is an interesting game design decision to use wood, but for me it just makes no sense and breaks my immersion :) (Yes, I am that kind of pe...

Any easy way to share modpack?

Hi, so I wanted to play MP with some friends, but I have installed quite a lot of mods. Is there any easy way to share the pack with others? Like, Minecraft has the AT Launcher. How do you go about this in Factorio, without other player having to manually write down all mods and install them one by ...

Important functionality missing: SpawnRelocation

In terms of game content there is one basic thing missing: Re-locate spawn point item. For example, in minecraft you use a bed to do this. In a game with procedurally generated terrain and huge playfield, something like this should be a must-have functionality. I know it can be done through console ...

Any Settler fans here?

Hey, anyone here old enough to remember the Settlers games? It was kind of also a logistics game. Everytime I play Factorio I wish the developers would take all their knowledge and experience that they gained from making Factorio, and create a new Settlers in the same philosophy. A medieval logistic...

Re: Option for trains to deal zero damage to players

In my last 3 months of playing I think I have died about 5 times. It's not like you are dying and respawning every 10 mins. (Although that could happen if you end up behind the biters evolution curve. I must also admit that I suck at combat, and tend to play railworlds. On deathworld settings I wou...

Re: Option for trains to deal zero damage to players

I don't think your comparisons of the cost of death in Factorio and Diablo/MMOs are valid. In Factorio, most of what you have achieved in your playthrough is in the factory you have built. That factory is typically not at risk if you get hit by a train. The equipment you are wearing/the stuff you h...

Re: Option for trains to deal zero damage to players

You can respawn in single player and multiplayer and go get all your stuff back from your body so all you ever lose is time. The corpse despawns after a (pretty short) while though. Crafting emergency equipment and then trying to get to and recover your unmarked corpse from a biter infested forest ...

Out of curiosity. I love opinions :) So, what 3 unlocks gave you the best feeling/experience/surprise/fun/whatever. And what 3 were the biggest disappointment? Erm... Isn't it a simple CTRL+V ?

I do not understand the issue here. Are you really upset about having to do CTRL+V two times? Or what am I misunderstanding here...? oO
