Re: Heat exchanger uses specific energy of wrong fluid to calculate result.

Hmmm ok. Don't you see the fundamental problem here or do you see it and you just don't care? I personally have a huge problem with just deleting energy, but maybe you say it's working as intended and idgaf about thermodynamics. It is not about being pedantic like the commenters in the other thread....

Re: Heat exchanger uses specific energy of wrong fluid to calculate result.

I have read the duplicate but ignored all the follow-up Powergeschwurbel.

I am actually very surprised that vanished energy is not a bug in your eyes. But ok.

Heat exchanger uses specific energy of wrong fluid to calculate result.

I am not sure if I am correct, because the topic is complicated. If you use a heat exchanger, it takes an heat input, transfers the heat to the fluid and outputs it as a different fluid. The amount of energy transferred per second is given via energy_consumption. The temperature of the output fluid ...

Re: Performance problems with tagging entities

Hmm ok thank you for looking into it. I will forward this to the developer. Here I have 33ms when pressing F5, but maybe that is for different reasons.

Re: Performance problems with tagging entities

Just to clarify a few things in case you got me wrong. The entities are train replacements. In fact they are like friendly biters with extra graphics having an inventory and accepting commands. So you can have all sort of animals (aerials can even fly over oceans) having an inventory and order them ...

Performance problems with tagging entities

I am reporting this performance issue not as the author of the mod. The mod Panodon Alien Life uses map tags for showing actual positions of caravans (replacements for trains not depending on rails). The call used seems to be extremely slow (30ms for 50 calls). Their Changelog shows: "removed c...

No I haven't. Just nothing. That really felt like very rude behaviour against a user.

Why was my topic off-topic? Where to post such problems?

Topic disappeared without notification

Hey.

My topic created today in General Discussions just disappeared and I don't know why. Can anyone help me?
It was about ingredient shortages.

Pyanodon changed tiles, how to fix them?

Hi! I am playing pyanodon mod and it seems to have a bug. My tailings pond has overflown and it has generated tiles, which also slow you down. They are burnable so I have burnt them, but now it looks even uglier and the tiles still slow you down. Black tiles with semi transparent tiles mix up and wh...

How to get rid of polluted ground tiles?

Hi! So my tailings pond has overflown and that ugly tiles slowing you down have been lying around for some ages. Now I have invented flamethrower and they burnt well, but now it looks even uglier and the tiles still slow you down. Black tiles with semi transparent tiles mix up and when I use the dec...

Why do Caravan waypoints cost food?

It should not cost anything to give them hints so they don't choose a stupid route through the whole base.

Re: Steel Furnace is inefficient

If space is an issue, then your planning of your factory layout is wrong. Easier said than done when it is your first playthrough, I know. Just use much more space than you imagine you would ever need, and then you are fine. I would have set the value to 1 MW though. This still makes them less effic...

Proposal: Implement optional (aka cosmetic) support fΓΌr 120 Hz gaming monitors by static tick-subdivision.

What ? Factorio is hard-limited to 60 Hz. This limits the speed items can be transported via belts to half an item per tick. Even on this hard limit you can't distinguish if the item is moving forward or backward, but at least you can still see if the items are moving or not. If you go faster, they...

Spitter attack wave breaks sound playback

I assume there is some maximum simultaneous sounds and the oldest one will be stopped when a new one is started. The problem is, when you are in theoretical hear range of a spitter attack wave (this means the sound is played, but you can't or can just barely hear it), it seems the "building des...

When to start the next playthrough?

Hey! I have played the full py Suite 2-3 years ago already and it took around 3 months to finish it. Obviously it's one of the best and biggest mods out there and I am thinking about going once more for the full experience. Since I am expecting it to take another 3 months, I don't want to run into t...

When you enable "show time usage" in debug options, three numbers will be shown next to each mod name in the form average/min/max. You'll want to pay attention to that third number when investigating such occasional stutters.
Thank you very much. Exactly what I have been searching.

Stuttering, which mod zu blame?

Hey, after several minutes of gameplay, I experience some stuttering every few seconds. This even happens on a new game. I suppose a mod just sucks but it's hard to debug this problem, because when I save and reload, the stuttering is gone. My actual plan to re-enable every mod until the stuttering ...

Re: Friday Facts #367 - Expansion news

I am a marketing expert in the industry and I recommend the following: 1. Put up pre-order possibilities not only if you want to maximize your revenue, but also only if you can hold your promises. 2. Keep your promises to a minimum, but feed your customer base with fresh stuff now and then. It was n...
