Re: [0.17+] Space Exploration WIP

Hi there. I've noticed that my concrete pavement degrades tile by tile leaving dents. Also some structures near my rail network are constantly getting damaged. I know for sure it's not related to biters because their bases are quite far away. It should not be meteor strikes: my base is defended by ...

Re: [0.17+] Space Exploration WIP

Is there anything in space with a positive feedback loop? I thought absolutely everything there, aside, presumably, from asteroid mining, had a net negative due to all the 99% returns on one or more things, and forbidden productivity modules. There should be no positive loop, as there is no void ma...

Re: [0.17+] Space Exploration WIP

It would be cool if you could convert from Cosmic Water back into normal water. Currently I'm producing a lot of Cosmic Water from all the Bio processes. I'll probably fix it by stopping the feed of normal water. But if might be nice to have alternatives, even if they're not the most efficient. As ...

Re: Project Announcement: Factorio Item Browser

That is exactly what i want for a long long time! This can help to plan our factory all day!
Thank you!

EDIT: I tried for some B+A recipe, and got the "something went wrong" item, I think it is something missing in between, or I did not select the correct mod?

Re: Whats the point?

I agree. Like I mentioned, having no point is why I think so many players like this game. It allows you to make your own goal. While I don't have the same amount of hours into the game as others (I'm currently sitting at 337), the amount of hours I do have is way more value then the price I paid. I...

Re: Factorio age rating?

13 years old?
When I was 13 years old, I was playing Age of Empire 1, where i think it is much more violent than Factorio, the blood was red, and soldiers would scream in dying, and become white bones.

The only concern is whether the boy is patient enough to play till launching a rocket.

Re: (0.15.10+) Water and Steam, what's the plan?

Where, anywhere in this whole thread, did I say, or even hint at, that the recipe should not require steam (= water above 100°)?! I did not! What I did say though, frequently, and what everyone is outright ignoring, is the fact that it should not be necessary to have a separate fluid for that! The ...

Re: (0.15.10+) Water and Steam, what's the plan?

From a games perspective, the temperature is the only meaningful difference between water and steam. From a games perspective, having to change steam into a separate fluid for the sole purpose of being able to define it as an ingredient in a recipe, only shows that the game lacks the means to prope...

Re: (0.15.10+) Water and Steam, what's the plan?

So I dare to say, turning carbon from coal or so into diamonds that needs unimaginable pressure, and water turning from liquid to gas and back at room temperature and without any pressure, is not exactly comparable. (water can even turn from gas to solid (provided it's below zero°) and from solid t...

Re: (0.15.10+) Water and Steam, what's the plan?

Bottom line: - water and steam ARE the same thing, H20 I just want to say, Diamond and graphite are the same thing, C. But of course we know they are different. I dont know if we can turn coal to oil in the real life, but i think using steam is make sense because steam is chemically more active tha...
