Steam is nice and all, but I really prefer to have games just working without forcing me to be online. Stabilizer basically repeatedly randomizes the layout (function adresses, heap allocation, stack frame sizes), because layout tends to depend on a lot of things (...

Re: Friday Facts #321 - Countdown

Not sure I'm reading that right, I read it as, my prototype from 20 years ago is still running, i was 17 years into the testing when some crappy version of a similar thing went on the market, winning prizes and money, before it appears that it was buggy and unstable on the long run ( because not en...

As you folks know - you do an amazing job. The thing is, there is danger of you doing your job too well, and I believe you might have recognised this as you've finally released a release date. Perfectionism, while useful in some circumstances, can be deadly in business. But cheap shoddy goods - we'...

Is ignoring the feedback of the community a better option? Honestly? Quite possibly yes. The vocal community is only a very small part of the customer base. Immediate reactions are often heated and people change their opinion when they calm down (often means "not always"). You can aleady ...

NPE to me means NullPointerException :D By the way, what is the difference between a checkbox and a switch? When should I use a check box instead of a switch? Switch is the kind of checkbox and technically equals to it. Nevertheless, in a user experience design, there is a a little difference betwee...

Re: [0.15.4][Twinsen] Read train contents sends 0 briefly?

Going to be a real pain if this signal is used in 5+ train stops and the train gets destroyed or needs deconstructing for some reason =/ Also does that mean you don't know the ID of the train until you read it from the network? Thats whyI think the colour thing would be better. That way you can hav...
