Re: Friday Facts #361 - Train stop limit, Tips and tricks

Idea for a tip: This is a problem that I had, and saw it in a few streamers that were new to the game β€” new players don't even consider that it's possible to put productivity modules into labs, or even science packs recipe; even if they are already using them for blue circuits. Even fewer people re...

Re: Friday Facts #357 - Nuke

When the worms die please do not have them fall in random directions. They should be pushed away from the nuke by the shockwave.

Note how this conventional weapon, the Daisy Cutter BLU-82, has knocked the trees down such that they end up pointing back to the blast origin.

As for shelled artillery, typically modern naval guns up to 127mm do have cartridges.
Nice video, very clearly shows the empties being ejected, bigger than I thought. Also it looks like they water cool some of the guns in the later part of the video, didn't know that was a thing.

Re: Friday Facts #341 - Audio, Artillery, Attenuation

The sound during rotation should be a bit louder. Definitely NOT. It should be quieter. The difference between the rotation and the firing event should be huge in comparison. I want a big contrast, not a loud motor and slightly louder artillery. Quiet motor and max volume artillery. The rotation so...

I don't see how fixing the trigonometric functions during the development of the multiplayer is a rookie mistake You are responding to a slur, not an argument. Just disengage. Everything looks super obvious to us after you've built it, debugged it and then explained it carefully in an FFF. We all g...

Wow. You guys just keep making rookie's mistakes when it comes to programming, it's embarrassing. They sold 1.5M copies of this game. If the bug managed to survive undetected through 10s or 100s of millions of hours of game time it is not serious. Some of us played hundreds or thousands of hours wi...

What's a desync? This FFF talks about them as if everyone should know what they are, but I've got no clue.

Although productivity modules can’t be placed into beacons and transmitting efficiency is mostly a no brained.
Good point, beacons are only for speed.

Any chance the light in the middle of the beacon could adjust its color depending on what module is used inside it? Blue for speed, green for efficiency and puple/red for production?
Oh that would be SWEET!

Re: Friday Facts #339 - Beacon HR + Redesign process

Looks fancy, but in my opinion its too much detail. The Beacon is a building which is in end-game nearly everywhere so i think it has to hide a bit between the other buildings. It should set itself in the background so you can see the other buildings more clear. ^ Came here to say exactly this. Too...

Youtube: Why Satisfactory Is So Addictive (11:19) Satisfactory has big boots to fill. It's not easy to take a cult classic game, recreate its mechanics and recapture it's addictive essence. It's even harder to take a classic game and change those mechanics in a way that improves the overall experie...

That reads so funny to me, I just blindly dropped a couple dozen euro on them before they even had the name of the company figured out.
How did you even know they existed? I certainly didn't know until Steam told me about this cool indie game I might like.

It was peer to peer and I had joined someone else's game. After the sync and restart I noticed it took 20+ minutes. I asked the guy about it and he said it was the WideChests. Thanks for this info about RAM usage, explains a lot!

There is a 0% chance I would have ever heard of Factorio, much less bought it if the game wasn't on Steam. I already had a payment/trust relationship with Steam that I wouldn't have been willing to create with some random "Wube" company. Of course I wouldn't have gotten that far as my only...
