I consider this a minor issue.
It will be fixed with an SDK update which will probably happen with the 2.0 Nintendo Switch release. But 2.0 on Nintendo Switch is not confirmed.

I made some changes to how that sound file is played and a side effect is that it now it is treated as a GUI effect.
I believe this is a minor issue, but let me know if it's a problem for you.

I'm confused about what you are doing. You are trying to simply select(left click once) "Transport belt madness" in the list? So not double-click and not clicking Play.
I can't reproduce the issue so it looks like something is wrong with your installation. Try reinstalling the game.

The next best thing that could help is reliable reproduction steps.
I suspect it's something related to your setup and also suspect it might not be related to installing mods and this is just a coincidence. Or it might be related to a specific mod.

I didn't manage to reproduce the issue, although I didn't try it many times. Also my Steam Deck is an early version that's no longer fully supported so some things might be different.

Hard to know what happens without more details. Steps are something like this? 1. Start game. 2. Install a mod(any mod), game restarts it's self. 3. Play a game for a while. You should change the game to use controller mode(in the game main menu -> settings -> controls) and use the default official layout in Steam ("Official Layout for Factorio - Gamepad with Mouse Trackpad"). Most layouts were made before the game had controller support so they emulate mouse ...

I sounds like L2 and R2 are triggering Shift/Control modifiers even in keyboard mode. This sounds like a bug so I'm moving this to Bug Reports and will investigate it.
