Probably not, I just don't personally like pointing inserters at/against turns, splitters, or undergrounds entrances/exits; but I think that's just an aesthetic preference. (I could be wrong, though - there might be a real difference)

Otherwise you're going to have to find a way to compress the iron as it comes onto the blue belt. this is only way I know of (36 furnaces on each side should compress it, if you can keep the ore coming) compression.png I'm not sure what the numbers are if you put PM3s on the furnaces and SM3s in ba...

This makes me think of "economics of scale", which is somewhat lacking in Factorio. The closest we have to it is beacons.

or, as I would write it: robo_roundabout.png but then to be consistent with my doctrine, I'd have to do this: roundabout_consequences.png and, of course, I'd have to delete things when I convert a straight to a turn :( or I could take leave of my senses and declare this to be my "straight"...
