Re: How do YOU use mining drills?
Well, I'm actually stupid enough to not notice. Seems like ideally you'll use 2 Efficiency and 1 Speed Module Not quite because the speed module undoes efficiency, and at the point at which it is worth to use Speed 3 with two Efficiency 3, you are far enough in the tech tree to no longer worry abou...

Re: How do YOU use mining drills?
I don't understand the purpose of 3 efficiency modules per miner... Efficiency Modules Tier 1 only do 30 percent not 50. Nobody is stupid enough to use Efficiency Modules past the first Tier... Re: Quality level names poll
I was originally for changing the fantasy names to something industrial from the list. Later I thought that the numbering approach like [Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4, Q5] or [0, +1, +2, +3, +4] would be better, because you automatically know what is better without remembering the names and because it leaves space...

To sale or not to sale
Hello engineers, biters and fishes Just to be clear at the beggining, I 100% support the rule to never go on sale. I was in a mood to buy something on steam halloween sales for my little child. I came across a zoo management game on a huge sale, but found out that it has ridiculous amount of DLCs so...

Re: Friday Facts #379 - Abstract rewiring
The wire and shadow changes are great. I really appreciate the attention to details like this. My pick to the quiz would be either overlaping shadows being darker or shadows being drawn over buildings being straight as if the building was flat. I was actually hoping for more changes in the case of a...

Re: Friday Facts #378 - Trains on another level
As we canβt walk on the bridges what happens if for example a train runs out of fuel on elevated tracks over water? Not sure if you could solve it by spidertron, jetpack or something similar, but you could drive a locomotive by hand (to ignore signals) to replenish fuel... Next FFF will be about sw...

...because you (hopefully) produce at a large scale and the law of large numbers will just transform probabilities into ratios. The more you produce the more it evens out. If the target of rng based crafting/assembling is to negate it by producing in high number then I don't see what is the benefit...

Re: Friday Facts #375 - Quality
Sorry, I already voiced my opinion in favor of actual naming of quality using rpg rarity theme, but here's another thing : industry themed naming will clash with some vanilla items, and even more mod items. "Standard advanced circuit" is confusing IMO. "Rare advanced circuit" is...

Re: Friday Facts #375 - Quality
Interesting. My humble opinions: 1) As everyone, i think the quality tiers should have better naming. This sounds like WoW. Even the colors are WoW like π 2) The quality mechanics is interesting, but the RNG part of getting higher quality feels wrong. In current version, you can always backtrack whe...

Re: Train queuing and station preference
Thanks for the explanation.
I added number of dummy stations increasing from far to close to the waiting places before unload stations and it does what I wanted.
You were right!

Train queuing and station preference
I was creating a setup for processing ore and encountered an interesting behaviour. Lets first discusss the unloading. I have following setup: https://i.imgur.com/LdaBD9a.jpg As you can see I have waiting stations which are also used to load the trains with iron ore for testing (All named Load) and ...

Re: Old menu picture
The ration is the same of course.
But when you display the 1920x1080 on 2560x1440 screen it is blury.
Anyway, the upscaled img is fine.

Old menu picture
Hello everybody, I'm using the image that was previously in the main menu as a wallpaper. Just now I bought a new 2560 x 1440 monitor and the image is 1920x1080 I don't remember how I got the image originally and I don't see it on Artwork page. Is it available somewhere in higher resolution? I'm tal...

Re: Improve colors of rail blocks at night
So I changed the colors to have better contrast (in my eyes at least). It's not great, but it's better.
The transition from yellow to green is worst in these new colors, but it doesn't get any better than this I think.
Thank you Silari.
