Re: Friday Facts #404 - Frustration not found

In addition.... The BIGGEST QoL you could make for the Spidertron is allow it to path around lakes!!!! If biters can do it, spidertrons should be allowed to. Surely spiders are smarter than biters... One thing that I was thinking about as I was playing today was that I would love to be able to copy ...

Re: Friday Facts #404 - Frustration not found

Spidertron remote' as the new 'RTS Tool' I don't like this name change at all, specifically because it would make no sense to new players (especially if they never played RTS games). I have played some RTS games, but I don't consider that a personal vehicle would need an "RTS Tool". I pref...

Re: Friday Facts #403 - Train stops 2.0

I just posted my reaction to this news on my channel, but TLDR = YAY! To round out the improvements to remote access, I would like to suggest a fuel drone, something like a long distance drone that will carry 1 stack of fuel to a train that has run out. The awesome solution would be something like t...

One thing that is missing from the GUI is the machine that the item is crafted in. This is crucial information for new players, and even experienced ones because of the new machine on Fulgora

Re: Friday Facts #375 - Quality

Wow, just wow! This looks AMAZING! I love that you are not just "adding more recipes" as many mods do, but adding quality gameplay depth! This is going to revolutionize play, and I am sooooo excited for it!

Re: Friday Facts #374 - Smarter robots

Wow, these changes are AWESOME! Thank you so much for improving the QoL items. While all of us are looking forward to new features, I DEFINITELY appreciate the quality of life stuff because I play the game so much, and all improvements lead to a smoother gameplay experience. Thank you! <3

Re: Blueprints borked after loading modpack

Sorry I havent had time to post. My life has been the tiniest bit crazy. Currently in Sweden.

This issue has been around since at least 2016. I remember Steejo mentioning it on his videos, when he was recording Factorio back in the day.

Blueprints borked after loading modpack

The nearest I can figure out is this: I create blueprints in a COMPLETELY Vanilla game. These blueprints contain modules. The mere act of loading a save game with a conversion mod (B/A/Seablock) completely WIPES the modules from the blueprints. I did not even open the BP book within that game! Not o...

Re: Friday Facts #370 - The journey to Nintendo Switch

Question:
Will Switch users be able to use shared blueprints?

I donät know of a copy & paste function, but there is the removable SD card where files have the potential to be transferred.

Thanks,
Yes, you're right, there is a setting there. Just used to PC games where they have to be disabled individually for every game... >.>

Re: Friday Facts #370 - The journey to Nintendo Switch

I was really disturbed to see the additional of custom "rumbles" added to "enhance the experience". I can't deal AT ALL with rumble. Because of my neuropathy in my hands, it feels like an electric shock :o It literally hurts, and I drop the controller. So I ask please that you pu...

Re: Version 1.1.0

I'm pressed for time atm, so I won't go into everything about the new update, but I do have one topic that I want to raise: The new flat GUI positioning is so useless to me. When I set my Logistics filters, I do it ONCE for the entire playthrough. I liked having it on the right because of the logi t...

Re: Combination of Crafting and Logistics Menu

I saw that it was pointed out earlier that's why I added the slash.

But there is no reason it can't work: the alternate products can be listed on the materials tab. It's not a big issue.

2. Machine small window - today when we click on inserter we give small window with necesary options and things. Nothing more. Why large empty space and covering screen is better than today small window? I agree with this... TBH when I wrote my earlier post, I had no idea what to make of it... sure...

I like that idea. Extra bonus points if we can drag the recipe/item down to the logistics menu.

Re: Friday Facts #363 - 1.1 is getting close

Lots of interesting changes. My thoughts: 1. I MUCH prefer the crafting tab in the middle. I have been using the flat layout since 1.0 was released, and the crafting section is the one I use most often, even if I don't handcraft: I use it to look for items in my inventory. I rarely adjust logistics,...

Re: Friday Facts #361 - Train stop limit, Tips and tricks

For example, why would you need to see a tutorial about drag-building poles before building a few for the first time? Or tutorial about signals before signals are even researched? It would just confuse the new user and overwhelm him with information. Tutorials are different than tips. And I agree t...

Re: Friday Facts #361 - Train stop limit, Tips and tricks

The changes looks AMAZING! Really excited to see the Train Stop Limit implemented in game. The Tips looks great, though I feel VERY STRONGLY that you do not hide tips from the user. If anything, add a little dot or animated icon next to the pertinent ones, or ones most recently related to progress i...
