Is it supposed to run on Mac OS X 10.9 (Mavericks)? I get this error when I launch it:

Further to this, my mate is having the same problem with El Capitan. He's installing Mojave now.

Edit 2: Removing the beta (and demo, just in case) directories from the campaigns folder made it start for now.
Thanks, this works for OS X :-)

Re: Version 0.17.0

Love you guys,
I've made a big pan of soup and got beers in the fridge.
My mate on his way round for a gaming session, then you release 0.17 :-)

Awesome, we'll test the shit out of it.

Re: Friday Facts #283 - Prepare to Launch

Well I’m looking forward to the minor science changes. It’s a great excuse to start a new factory and try things a little different this time! Going to use single-ended trains this time, as I seem to always use 1-3-1 trains in my other play thrus. Both me and my mate are home from work this week so ...

Re: Friday Facts #234 - Office pictures

Sorry for the late post, just catching up with the factorio news after working away for a few weeks.
In the Graphics developer room, on the middle desk, what keyboard is that? Looks like something custom and mechanical :-)

You're right, it's only 256Mb.
Was a friend's old MBP, he's gone and bought a second hand Mac mini to get his factorio fix until the new iMacs come out this year.

Cheers

[0.15.10] Crash during startup GeForce 9600M GT

Brand new install of OSX El Capitan. Crashes upon startup with "Higher Performance" option in System Preferences (so it uses dedicated graphics). Starts up fine if I select "Better Battery Life" (so it uses integrated graphics). Attached log. Thanks in advance. 0.000 2017-05-12 2...

Yeah I second this, perhaps with the brick floor fair enough, but concrete should get rid of at least most of the shrubs :-)

Re: Version 0.15.9

Cool, can ride trains again, was beginning to thing I might roll back to 15.6 :-) serves me right for updating too early!
Seems to fix problem where it was occasionally crashing when driving car too.
Good work with the quick fixes.

[HanziQ] [15.6] Mac headless must be in foreground

Brand new install of Factorio 15.6 on a MacMini, fresh install of Sierra. Running headless via: /Applications/factorio.app/Contents/MacOS/factorio --server-settings ~/Documents/factorio-server.json --start-server-load-latest Factorio runs (windowless obviously) and I can connect to the server no pro...

Re: Headless server on Mac

You are not alone. I find that if I run factorio server on my macmini, I must keep factorio in the foreground (even though no window is open) else my clients will disconnect. It seems that if it goes to the background, it is no longer connected to stdin. I'm going to post a bug report on it, when ru...

Start a new base now?

Like most people, I'm excited for 0.15. Especially the liquid train carriages.
My question is, should I start a new map now and start to get things underway ready for the update, or just wait until 0.15 and start new then?
What's your thoughts? :-)

Re: GreyGoo Mk I: A self-expanding factory

I tried this yesterday, got it up and running on my laptop and then turned up the game speed. Factory self-replication was in overdrive. Went downstairs for a coffee and got distracted. When I came back up, factorio had taken over my computer; running multiple instances of itself. I thought, "t...
