Re: Friday Facts #131 - Roadmap shuffle

Two months until the next release? Good, that means that A: I can look forward to it and B: I'll have time to play it. The achievements look good though, no lasers, no construction bots and I think I see a person about to be hit by a train in there. And so long and thanks for all the fish, now there...

Re: Friday Facts #125 - Achievements

The tech tree for factorio was going to be a mess, for example some technologies are dependencies for at least 5 other technologies (oil processing) and all those technologies are dependant on others as well so lines are going to be snaking all over the place. I'd recommend moving the upgrade tech o...

Re: Friday Facts #124 - Steam Status I

Steam on the 25th? I guess I need to start putting together word docs for guides of the game to help the new players. And think of a good review to write as after losing a lot of time already to Fortress Craft Evolved Factorio is going to need all the help to go big on steam. And the bonus screen i...

Re: Friday Facts #120 - Spidertron

I'd like to see a tri-pod like thing, like from war of the worlds. Obviously with 8 legs and laser in the visible spectrum rather than infared. As for the concrete the graphics look much better, the grey cement under the concrete tiles always bugged me.

Re: Just bought the game; What were Your first impressions?

I watched a YouTuber play the game up to about the oil stage, so I had a good idea of what to expect, back I believe in 0.7 or 0.8. So I had a good idea of what to expect. And after playing modded Minecraft after seeing how many sides of a machine in factorio (12) I thought how hard could factorio b...

Re: Friday Facts #114 - Better train conditions

When using the train interface I was always of the idea of "I'll cope" which probably led to me subconsciously avoiding trains with the nightmare of automating them so the new UI should really help there. Now that I'm seeing the train tool in a practical use (I don't consider twisty windy ...

Re: Friday Facts #113 - Better rail building

GAH! Starsector 0.7A release AND factorio 0.12 stable-ish? Which do I play first? But still well done on reaching a stable, time to do an update, always fun to play factorio, even if the music sounds like I'm playing xenonaunts. As for the rail through the forest? I have a easy approach. It's called...

Re: Friday Facts #108

Blueprint Book? Interesting, even though I very rarely use more than 2/3 blueprints (solar array and a protected large electric pole). But I don't know, if it's easy to identify blueprints, I may have more reason to use them. The new smoke looks good, however the thing about the old smoke is that it...

Re: Friday Facts #107 - The Wedding

Congratulations kovarex, have a good weekend.

Bit bummed about the lack of green light, as I was looking forward to finally voting on a game that remotely interested me, but a jump straight to the store? Factorio deserves that.
