Re: mute the game while alt-tabbed

I agree to this thread, it is really annoying to have to close factorio down entirely every time I just want to alt-tab to another app that has sound, like the browser, mediaplayer or other game. Factorio already have an event hook for minimizing the window on focus loss, so I'm sure the devs knows ...

Downloading Windows version with token?

Is there a way to download the Windows version with curl/wget or similar using my accounts access token , or by using my credentials if necessary? Trying to automate running a factorio server on a Windows Enterprise enabled machine. Note: I'm not asking how to use any tools, just asking about a link...

Re: [MOD 0.18] KRASTORIO^2

I can't find any way to make a loader load on to a chest from a belt, is that on purpose or a bug? you might want to try rotating it. loaders are odd. Thank you, I did try that among other many other things, it turns out it is just random and I was just unlucky the first 20 times or so. You just ha...

Re: Friday Facts #332 - More sounds & Map color tweaks

"they don't sound very different but they are smoother sounding and less annoying." In reality though, these super high pitch sounds are really headache inducing, especially if hearing them for more than a minute at a time. Like scratching on a blackboard with your nails or the dentist dri...

Re: Friday Facts #320 - Color correction

It's interesting, that's quite a lot of people with 1 post only accounts in this friday facts thread. Not sure it's only this time, or it's always happen with FF. It's frequent. Not for all FFFs, but it's almost systematic on significant changes. I would guess that the vast majority of customers/pl...

Re: Fast Pi Calculator

Incredible! I don't get one thing though, it says it doesn't need any multiplication.. I use Machin's formula , which was used in the world record pi calculation for 250 years. It converges quickly (1.398 digits per term), requires no multiplication , and reuses calculations from previous terms. But...

Re: [0.17] Sea Block Pack 0.3.7

How do you start this mod pack? Sandbox, scenario etc? There's no scenario called Sea Block, but there's new scenarios without descriptions.

Re: Multiplayer Achievement, How to know %?

I believe you see your % when you go into the Achievements menu while playing the map (or at least your time vs map time). Thanks! I can see it there, but it doesn't work very well, haha =) photo_2019-08-09_08-39-19.jpg I've built most of that base. (Note: We have auto pause on, but it would be nic...

Multiplayer Achievement, How to know %?

We are 2 people playing for achievements on a server, but we're both old and not on at the same times, and from what I understand you can only get achievements in multiplayer if you've been online for more than 50% of the map time, right? So how do we see if we're eligable for achievements with rega...

This might interest people that follow the releases: https://wiki.factorio.com/Base-breaking_changes The fact that the page might not be a good fit for the wiki did not occur to you? It's basically a tutorial, much better fit for a forum topic than a wiki page. It's a really good wiki page, it expl...

Re: Friday Facts #298 - Demo upgrade for Stable

I have no idea what you mean with the loaders, are they going to be added, removed, changed, upgraded, limited to certain belts, new graphics, old graphics or something totally different?

Re: Friday Facts #296 - All kinds of bugs

You're in good company with the signed integer cast problem, that is the reason Gandhi in Civilization is so aggressive (his aggressiveness was -1). The bug was introduced in the first game and because it was an interesting bug to have Gandhi as a nuke maniac he still is the same in every new iterat...
