Re: Bentham's Factorio Videos
I like your videos. It's a nice way to watch a LOT of factorio in a short amount of time. Also, even with the de-synch problems, i like the AMASS LP with arumba and company. Hope to see more of your videos! I'm starting a channel with factorio LP soon, maybe some day we play a match toghether? :) Ha...

How I use it - I'm not an expert - it makes sense to automatically connect resources, which are near together into one patch. I think is better with a label, but a brujula is cutest. Please tell me why a label or why a brujula :D very old pic http://i.imgur.com/hnRnKb0.jpg "Brujula" LOL, ...

Re: Version 0.10.0
This still isn't fixed with multiple monitor setup. Let me guess: You use windows and your primary screen is not the first one and both (or more) do not have the same resolution? Windows is my OS, yes. The primary screen is the first one and they are both the same size monitor and the same resoluti...

Re: Car Cardinal Direction Bias
I would even welcome an addition of a slower car besides the one we have now. Hell, we could even have several different cars to build with different handling like a Jeep, sand buggy, steam tank, then something spikey from Mad Max ... all requiring different amount of parts of course. Talking about...

Re: Terrain Elevation
I agree, but if they can make it so that it works and looks pretty, i wouldn't object to itGarm wrote:Factorio is pure 2D game.
As such the maximum you can achieve is pseudo-elevation seen in older RTS games.
While it could "work" it would be sloppy and not easy to randomly generate.

Re: integrating the "alt-mode" into the default graphics
Intended by you or by the game designers. The problems I talk about are from a coding perspective. What if unbeknownst to you one item in 50 were being transported to a remote area of the map and stacking up, eventually causing your game to crash or something because of the bugginess of underground...

Re: Car Cardinal Direction Bias
Personally I'd rather they give the player to build roads which the car will attempt to stick to when given no other orders. Me too. Anyways, after a while, you end up getting used to the car's tricky handling. Watch some of Malkasphia's LPs in youtube. I don't personally like his way of building t...

Re: Moving single items from stack
Hm. I think I would use it, if it works with the middle mouse, but add that the transfer rates should rise. For example like so: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 40, 50, 100, 200, 300, 500, 1000 ... Perhaps some better algorithms (repeating clicks, means different...) So, with some clicks and roll, r...

Re: Half Belt Splitter
That is, I think, where the frustration lies. There is this enormous gap between how simple a task belt separation ought to be, and how complex and over-engineered the proposed solutions are. Wellcome to Factorio! THIS is what the game is all about! That's the beauty of it, and if you spend a few e...

I can't find it, but I'm sure I posted something like this a while ago. I'm In for the idea of "planning tool"of some sort.
And I like the long ssilk post in the link.
I'd LOVE to see a place called "SSilk's native village" xD

I would REALLY like that. It would be very helpful.
Also, a little thing... Is there a way that the "alt mode" doesn't get switched when you Alt+Tab??

Re: Flask production Tier 1 and Tier 2
Compact tier 1+2 design with 9x14 footprint for early stages. 1 green + 1 red flasks per 6.66 seconds. Had to use +20% production module to attain balance between green and red production, but at early stages this can be simply ignored. Science labs can be put separately or right on top (3 labs max...

Re: Place medium light pole overtop small light pole
I kind of agree with both sides here. On the CON side, True that if you can "fast upgrade", you can "fast downgrade". And in this case, it breaks the network to downgrade. In chests case (the other that "could" be broken) it just gives you the items back if the chest wa...
