AmmoBox 'logistic turrets' are great, only they don't remember their ammo requests in blueprints/after being destroyed. The author explained that this is not their fault, but rather fault of the game, which does not allow 'hybrid' entities, e.g. an entity that is simultaneously a turret and a logistic container. So it's done with pseudo-entities. Still, it is very tedious to fill in ammo requests, especially with rebuilt destroyed turrets.

As an imperfect workaround I made it so the logistic turrets start with a pre-specified request. By default it's two armor piercing ammo boxes (i.e. equivalent of 200 piercing round magazines or 2,000 'rounds'), you can change it in config.lua file (in principle, you can pre-configure all ten logistic request slots, although there's only one actual storage slot, so I don't know why you would want that). It's not as good as remembering requests from blueprints/shadows, but it's better than nothing.

I'm not sure if everyone who uses AmmoBox would like this functionality, but if the author of AmmoBox wants to incorporate this behavior in any form they are more than welcome (make it configurable optional or something, but in that case separate mod works just as well or better for optionality).

If it can't remember what's in the blueprint, then what exactly is the point of logistic turrets?

You might as well go with a regular logistic+belt+insert+turret combo.

Nah, this is cool as a separate mod. I'm not sure there is a good way to make it configurable in-game, and it's easier to install this mod. You might want to make the download url point to this: https://github.com/daydev/AmmoBoxAutore ... _0.0.1.zip
