Hello, thanks to the help of bluecube, the wiki has been purged of the spam and revived again.
Accessible at https://forums.factorio.com/wiki as before.
To prevent these kinds of problems in the future, we decided to let just registered users edit, and users need to do request on the wiki page in order to create account.
This can be done by clicking at "request one" on this page.

Wouldn't work just linking the wiki and forum account?

That is possible when both use the same authentication mechanism. (Won't mix forum/wiki vs. game login!)

Technically speaking:

I guess he wants to see more "up-to-date" information on the wiki. E.g. there is no article about grenades

What's there to explain?
Then did he raise on high the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch, saying, "Bless this, O Lord, that with it thou mayst blow thine enemies to tiny bits, in thy mercy." And the people did rejoice and did feast upon the lambs and toads and tree-sloths and fruit-bats and orangutans and breakfast cereals ... Now did the Lord say, "First thou pullest the Holy Pin. Then thou must count to three. Three shall be the number of the counting and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither shalt thou count two, excepting that thou then proceedeth to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the number of the counting, be reached, then lobbest thou the Holy Hand Grenade in the direction of thine foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it."

Have a look now. I added a lot of basic item information along with basic information regarding all the networks.... contact me if you miss smtg.

Very good. Many things to correct, but much better.
If you have the pics also in higher resolution, you should upload them please, because for example the station is badly visible... You can place them in the text compressed, if you add "|300px" after the pic-name.

Good work.

I would like to question the one-way automatization of trains, though. You said trains need an explicit circle to turn around. I have used single train (locos at both end) in one block with 2 stations, no loops, and it works fine. But does it not work in more complex networks?

I mean this is because of the old version (v0.3?) to which the original wiki-documentation is applied for. Most of it is just copied from there and many things have changed since then, for example you don't need to care about orientation of a station.

As said, much todo, but everyone is invited to help. :)

ok .. to clarify this train stuff.

as far as i know a train only has 1 primary loco... if there were 2 attached 1 is chosen.. and train will only drive this direction. Will check thi s against current 0.7.4

regarding pic sizes. i thought i have done that. There was always an enlarge button. but will check too and provide larger pics if possible.

Thanks for your help

ok .. checked this train stuff and also edited wiki page.

trains can move both direction with locos at both ends. Train stations must be right hand side of driving direction. So if you have a single lane of track .. you have to place one station left .. the other right of it to make the train run the schedule.

This works very well, I even made a T shaped railway and had two trains running between stations while waiting on each other.

@Grey Awesome work overall! The wiki is actually usable now:) This also motivates us to keep it up to date when adding new stuff.

yeah i like the game very much .. and look forward for great stuff to come to even make it better. Once multiplayer is available i hope that some friends of mine will join too. As currently there are no good wisims or empire building strategy games yours is really something new. I also have some interesting ideas for you .. but currently i dont have the time to search the forum if they were already committed.

The "technology" and "research" section will need some more work, but then i think we have nearly everything up to 0.7.4.
