I'd expect detecting (of biters) to be on the radar, not on the roboport. Probably only in the inner/permanent scan range?

I use radar coverage as guide line to make straight and aligned things, but i use the map markers to know where to place radars, i read in a recent FFF that now those would "snap" so it will be easier to align things ...

Radar scan speed can already be increased with more radars and unlike a global increase, this can be targeted. An infinite technology might become a performance problem. I don't think technologies (infinite or not) to increase ...

... the distance left to travel and weather they are blocked by a signal? The train info might also be left out because you should have to place a radar to see details of what the train is doing at the station.

... to me when i need, like 1 train has material to make outpost, one train has defense material, one train has rails signals poles cliffs explosives radar and so on, one train carry solar pannel and accumulators, i do not go back and forth several time for material, i call the train several time ...

+1 I have a blueprint which contains a radar, several solar panels and accumulators that will keep it active fulltime. Placing it however, will always have to done in two steps, radar first to check the coverage and then the blueprint afterwards. ...

Why ? Basically, QOL, because right now you can obtain the same exact result placing the radar first (coverage displayed) and then placing blueprint. Noting that this is highly difficult if the paste / bp contains multiple radars. [Koub] Merged into older thread with ...
