Re: Rear marker lights on the car

It is also equally important to make sure that the glow of the headlights and rear marker lights is present when placing the car with the cursor.
Since by default, the game turns on the headlights only when the hero gets into the car.

Rear marker lights on the car

Goal Simplify the gameplay. Situation When the car is looking left or right. It is clearly visible immediately, without even looking closely. But to understand where the car is looking. Up or down. Difficult. We need to take a closer look, spend time. Decision Add headlights and rear dimensions The...

Re: Searchlights

Thank you, but they have a completely different essence and purpose.

I wish there were stationary spotlights. Which, if placed in a row, will evenly illuminate all the fortifications ahead.

Searchlights

Goal - Diversify the gameplay - Get rid of the disadvantage Situation Attacking enemies are poorly distinguishable. Until they reach the illuminated base. It's not particularly pleasant to look at something dim. Decision Add floodlights to the game. Which would illuminate the nearest and middle fro...

Re: It is pointless to increase the difficulty of the game

It just depends on the concept that the game developers choose. For example, in Skyrim, the main part of the achievements are achievements for completed storylines. Or, for example, in some games, death is an achievement. The absurdity … But like I said. It all depends on the concept that the game d...

Re: It is pointless to increase the difficulty of the game

That sounds great.
Until you remember that it's usually already in the game.

It somewhat resembles the check marks under completed tasks.
Questions on the map. Which icons change when you study those zones.
As well as checkboxes in Factorio, about the completed training of certain game mechanics.

Re: It is pointless to increase the difficulty of the game

Stop thinking for me.

Game achievements are not meaningless figurines that you can buy on the market.
These achievements provide additional goals and challenges. In addition to the one that is in the game initially.
And the depressing thing is that this is not the case for hardcore modes.

Re: It is pointless to increase the difficulty of the game

Of course you are right! For example, I hate that you can't disable achievements on Steam. When the window pops up that you have received this or that achievement. It knocks you out of immersion in the game world. Throwing it into the real one. But Factorio is not the case. This is not a game with a...

Re: Railway stations – Hell for a perfectionist

This is relevant at the initial stage of the game. And also in a hardcore game, with the minimum possible amount of resources, at the maximum distance from each other. Where to build two directions is impractical. There you think about how to save money, not to attract unnecessary attention of enemi...

It is pointless to increase the difficulty of the game

Goal Encourage hardcore players Situation There are no achievements on Steam, for players who like to play in Deathworld mode, or in Marathon mode. And much more insulting. That there are no achievements for playing the World of Death and the Marathon at the same time. In the game, although it says...

Re: Railway stations – Hell for a perfectionist

I don't understand how you align the wagons? After all, the game itself determines the places for the construction of stations. Do you use any mods? It doesn't matter though. We need to fix this flawed foundation! And I don't understand all the excuses about the odd and even something out there. Jus...

This does not "force" doing anything. You do not "have" to place 7, and doing so just cramps up your available space, anyway.

IMO, does not need fixing.
Come back to reality!

This is because rails are on a 2-grid, wagons are 6 long, and have a 1 gap between them.
Why is there an asymmetry in different directions?
Although not. I'm not even interested in that.
Just let them fix it.

Re: Railways – The pain of a perfectionist

Devs have already reworked the rails. See Friday Facts #377 - New new rails This should solve som of your discomforts. It looks great (b α΅”β–½α΅”)b And what are the developers waiting for? Why is it not being implemented? Do they want to coincide the release of innovations with the release of space trav...

Railway stations – Hell for a perfectionist

Goal
Correct mistake.
Situation
The positioning of trains in different directions, is different.
This problem does not allow the use of only six containers per wagon. For loading/unloading .
This forces the addition of a seventh container.

Railways – The pain of a perfectionist

Goal Correct mistake. Situation If the rails are laid at a minimum distance from each other, so that it becomes possible to move from one track to another. Then the asymmetry of the railways is manifested, diagonally: https://i.ibb.co/CtYpRKb/2-09-05-2024.png Ps.: I don't understand why moving from...

Re: Putting a plan in a book

Just a slight simplification of the gameplay.

This way of interaction will be more understandable to new players.

1. Dragged the plan onto the book
2. Let go
3. The drawing will be in the book, in the first free slot.
or
4. The book opens, and the player places the plan wherever he pleases.

Putting a plan in a book

Goal
Simplify the gameplay
Situation
It would be convenient and intuitive to put plans in a book, in all the usual way.
Decision
It is worth placing a blueprint in a book, by simply dragging the mouse.
