That's most probably what you're looking for, but there's not much detail unfortunately.

Absolutely love this one too. It gives the alien vibe I feel when I see first half of the Paleozoic landscapes re imagined. Anywhere from the Cambrian, even maybe Precambrian, all the way to the Silurian, maybe Devonian period. When I hear the stomp et the end, I think : https://rd-prod.twic.pics/me...

Re: Strict Reqest/buffer chests qantity
This is going to be a thing as soon as 2.0 is out, at least in some form. There will be a "trash unrequested" checkbox on the logistic requests interface for anything that can actually directly request to the logistic network. Source : https://factorio.com/blog/post/fff-382 [Koub] Moving t...

Re: Snapping templates
I'm pretty sure what you described can't / won't be added as is with any entity, and the game just guessing what entity should be the one to be used for snapping. But maybe could this be moddable, with an entity designed specifically for the purpose of blueprint snapping, forcing the game to place b...

Re: Friday Facts #411 - All about asteroids
Anybody else having trouble having motivation to start a new run until the updates? Me :). I've had the itch for a new Factorio game since around mid-March, but have been reluctant to start one, knowing I likely wouldn't have been done with it by this summer, when the expansion is planned so far. I...

[Koub] I'm OK with you discussing on that, but please, do so in the thread where Qon showcases his build, not here, where it's mostly off topic. Or in private if you prefer settling things just between you. And obviously, please keep things respectful.

Re: Putting a plan in a book
Not sure what you're getting at. You can already put blueprints in a blueprint book. You can also put a blueprint book inside another blueprint book. What are you wanting to do? Simple drag and drop. Current way of taking a blueprint or a book from one's library to move it into a book is pretty uni...

Re: New Research - Drone Charging Speed
Oh I understand. We can see that with quality, personal roboports will get a significant boost too : https://cdn.factorio.com/assets/blog-sync/fff-375-assembling-machine-tooltip.png We see an epic MK2 roboport with 7 charging ports (standard has only 4). So I guess legendary will have 8 ports. Charg...

Re: New Research - Drone Charging Speed
I briefly scrolled through these replies, and I don’t believe anyone has brought it up yet, so I’m just dropping in to remind you all: Higher quality robots will have larger batter capacity, and higher quality roboports will have an increased charge speed Both of these bonuses will be determined by...

Re: New Research - Drone Charging Speed
The quicker the bot, the faster it discharges, while the charging time remains constant => with a constant logibot number, the quicker they are, the more one has to add roboports until it becomes impractical. For a given cargo size, if you ignore the 3kW drain (which is reasonable after the first f...

Re: New Research - Drone Charging Speed
Hang on, that sounds really counterintuitive. Can you do a worked example or something to make it obvious? Taken from this wiki page : Energy consumption : 5 kJ/m Drain : 3 kW (3 kJ/s) Energy capacity : 1.5 MJ (electric), so 1500 kJ The basic movement speed of logistic robots is 0.05 tiles/tick (3 ...

Re: New Research - Drone Charging Speed
My vote is for battery size. Let them travel longer without needing to recharge. Most of the charging time is in that last slow crawl to be over the charging point, so reducing how often they need to do that would give them more uptime, while also making large-scale construction jobs smoother. I'm ...

Re: New Research - Drone Charging Speed
This would make logistic bots even more overpowered than they already are. Overpowered compared to what ? The 4th tier of ultrafast belts ? The new stack inserters ? Bots give convenience and good spike capability where belts give throughput capability. Once bots get enough speed upgrades, the numb...
