Re: Version 0.17.32
Really? That just seems odd. How does it impact your game play heavily? Even in my largest base with dozens of active trains, track building takes up a small amount of my time. Upgrading makes my games backwards incompatible, so if I can't go forward. Upgrading has been a driver for some of my enth...

Re: Version 0.17.32
Wouldn't increased viscosity help with that ? Or would that slow down the normal flow too much ? Err, never mind, I just can't afford to go deep into this issue right now... Sorry, but isn't fluid flow dependence on !pipes building order! one damn serious bug? Personally I don't care much abo...

Re: Free cables/wires (Poles contain all) ☸
I agree wires shouldn't cost or even be items - I suggest we make them a tool like copy, cut & paste

Re: Suggested solution for rail placement issues
I agree it's a bad idea, Why is it a bad idea? What is bad about it? With any other blueprint placing, if I see an obstacle I hold shift to place the blueprint while removing the obstacle. This makes the same function work with rails. [...] but i understand their point, and i think i would personal...

Re: Version 0.17.24
It *should* work fine (for most people). I actually do read the release information to check what is included and I DO update now and then. On latest 0.17.28 right now. Been so many bug fixes, ups improvements etc that doing the update is recommended (better game crash avoidance). That being said -...

Re: Removing RTL language translations
And now that I think about it again, thanks to Blue Templar, I remember that the first internationally famous indie game that Factorio also has been compared with in relation to it's success on platforms like STEAM - Minecraft had a Hebrew language GUI, R-T-L enabled chat and other features that wer...

[Moderated by Koub] : Factorio Forums are not a place to debate about religion It's not a religion debate, but definitely it will trigger a stupidity debate if the reason of the - temporary - removal [s]is[/s] if not explained clearly. You know, regional or godish stupidity has no border walls. A. ...

Re: Removing RTL language translations
Thanks for the information, but that's not exactly what I was asking : I'm pretty sure that Windows has been built using English and Left-To-Right programming languages and tools (additionally, I doubt that they had Right-To-Left support, even in Windows XP days?), rather than Hebrew/Arabic/? and R...

Re: Version 0.17.20
Changes Removed RTL language translations (Hebrew, Arabic). (https://forums.factorio.com/68507) Why am not surprised (@dev_il)... I just wish the reason given for the removal wasn't so insulting as "just doesn't make sense to us" [Moderated by Koub] : Factorio Forums are not a place to de...

Re: Removing RTL language translations
This news is very disappointing although expected - I knew deep down that RTL support will either be postponed for ever or removed / forgotten - no game company, that I know, has ever supported RTL in a game and probably never will... :| BTW - "This just doesn't make sense to us" is insult...

Re: Version 0.17.7
The frequency of fixes/updates is awesome, but is there any chance you could focus on fixing that updater next week? Pretty please with cherries on top? They might not like cherries. They did like the bag of dicks though. That was a funny story - I laughed for like an hour after reading that  ...

I love everything you guys are doing to this game ! The new GUI changes are not only a amazing but very much needed - I don't think I've ever played a game who's developer was so in touch with his community that he shaped parts of the game as the community requested or ever considered the players re...

It blew my mind • Fixed that totals in production statistics were 0.33% off. (59063) I've got to know - how does this happen ? I've read the original post and laughed a little when I realized he did the whole calculation and figured exactly what the divination was and where - we have some real math ...

Re: Version 0.16.29
Is the RCON surface documented somewhere? Like, for idiots? When I've tried to look into it, I always find 100 ancient github repos, but nothing super definitive/clear. ... Based on the documentation of the Value Software RCON protocol, RCON does two things: password authentication allow execution ...

Ok. Now I've read it and if that's the direction Factorio is going I'm gonna stay with 0.15 !
