Yet another great Friday Facts.
I am seriously looking forward to 2.0.
Thank you for all your excellent work. I am sure the enjoyment your team gets from creating these enhancements will only (again) be exceeded by the enjoyment experienced by your players.
Thanks again !

I don't pre-order games. Unless it's Factorio. The level of effort that you guys are putting into the game and the expansion is really legendary. It's a credit to you I'm happy for your success I'm even happier for the enjoyment I get from the game. I am really looking forward to the expansion I mus...

I really enjoyed the descriptive text. Some of it reminded me of the teletype adventure games. Take a look at Colossal Cave Adventure on Wikipedia for example. I worked for a Computer Bureau in the early 1980's (before companies had their own computers... providing payroll and inventory control syst...

A note to say thank you to the entire crew for Factorio. I have enjoyed the game immensely. I still do. I too have been reading with interest and, sometimes, amazement this new series of Friday facts. Your letting us see a glimpse behind the curtain of what is to come in 2.0 and equally interesting ...

Re: Preserving Factorio 1.0
What I think I want to do is keep a copy of the game in its current state so I can continue to play as it is with saved games and blueprints as they are. Steam will automatically update the game. Steam says "f you'd like to stop Steam from automatically updating a game, select "Only update...

Preserving Factorio 1.0
It is exciting to hear about Factorio: Space Age. The Friday Facts have been great to read. I am wondering if I need to consider preserving my current installation of Factorio. I enjoy and know the game well in it current form. While I am looking forward to the new expansion I am mildly concerned th...

Well that was a nice email to wake up to on Saturday here ! Such good news. I can hear the excitement in the developers tone from the announcement...you are obviously pleased in how the game is progressing, the strategy applied and the results so far. I have over 5000 hours in Factorio (yes, retired...

Re: [1.1.35] Crash after pasting blueprint
No.
I restarted the game, started the newest save (as provided in my upload), did a save of that auto save and then continued playing the game.
In the next 30 minutes or so the game continued to function normally without repeating the problem.

[1.1.35] Crash after pasting blueprint (RailSignal::drawBorderLight)
What did you do? I pasted a blueprint. I was in the process of placing items (rail track) over the blueprint What happened? Factorio froze and stopped responding. A Dialog box came up on the screen asking that I send the log file to Factorio via the forum. So that is what I am doing. After I dismiss...

Re: Some ideas for the "One big expansion pack"
Yes your so right.
I don't even know why I included that given that I mostly play (build) without aliens !terrestrial robot army defenders,
The problem with more focus on war is that there are already a thousand games that focus on that.

Some ideas for the "One big expansion pack"
There are no doubt many things that could be added to the one big expansion pack announced by the Factorio Team. I thought that I would jot down a few thoughts that might be OK for the pack. additional raw resources, new manufacturing methods, additional component manufacture, terrestrial robot army...
